Guarantee Terms & Conditions
These terms govern the guarantees offered by Konstantin Vision & Eyewear Center
(“Konstantin Vision,” “we,” “us”) to customers who purchase
frames, premium prescription lenses, or eyewear at our Manhattan location. Please read
them carefully and retain a copy for your records. If you have questions, contact us at
(212) 300-4976 or
info@konstantin.net.
1. Two-Year Frame Warranty
1.1 What Is Covered
Konstantin Vision warrants all eyeglass and sunglass frames purchased at our
store against manufacturer’s defects in materials and workmanship for a period
of two (2) years from the date of original purchase.
Coverage includes:
- Manufacturer’s defects — structural failures, hinge breakage, coating
delamination, finish defects, or any other defect arising from the manufacturing process that
is not the result of customer use or handling.
1.2 What Is Not Covered
- Accidental damage (drops, impacts, bending) — this is not a manufacturer’s defect.
- Lost or stolen frames.
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or failure to follow care instructions.
- Normal cosmetic wear and tear (surface scratches, fading of finish over time).
- Damage caused by exposure to extreme heat, chemicals, or solvents.
- Frames purchased from other retailers, even if the same brand is carried by Konstantin
Vision.
1.3 How to Make a Frame Warranty Claim
- Bring the affected frames to Konstantin Vision at 546 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10011,
together with your original receipt or proof of purchase. - Our team will inspect the frames and determine whether the defect is attributable to
manufacturing. - If the claim is approved, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the frame with
the same or equivalent model at no charge. - For certain brands, defective frames may be submitted to the manufacturer for assessment.
We will communicate the process and estimated timeline. - Warranty claims must be submitted within the two-year coverage period.
1.4 Limitations
Approved replacements do not reset or extend the original two-year warranty period. The
warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
Summary: Every frame purchased at Konstantin Vision is backed by a
two-year warranty against manufacturer’s defects — at no cost to you.
2. Two-Year Premium Lens Warranty
2.1 What Is Covered
Konstantin Vision warrants all premium prescription lenses purchased at our
store with an unconditional warranty for a period of two (2) years
from the date of original purchase. This warranty covers any reason — including accidental damage
and manufacturer’s defects — with no conditions.
This warranty applies to premium prescription lenses purchased from Konstantin
Vision only. It does not extend to standard (non-premium) lenses or lenses purchased elsewhere
and brought in for fitting.
2.2 How to Make a Lens Warranty Claim
- Bring the affected eyewear to Konstantin Vision at 546 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10011,
together with your original receipt or proof of purchase. - We will replace the premium lenses at no charge. Most single-vision replacements are
completed the same day through our in-house lab. - Warranty claims must be submitted within the two-year coverage period.
2.3 Limitations
This warranty covers premium lens replacement only; it does not include the frame. Approved
replacements do not reset or extend the original two-year warranty period. The warranty is
non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
Summary: Every pair of premium prescription lenses purchased at Konstantin
Vision is backed by an unconditional two-year warranty — for any reason, at no cost to you.
3. Six-Month Prescription Guarantee
2.1 What the Guarantee Covers
If your vision prescription changes within six (6) months of the date your
lenses were dispensed, Konstantin Vision will replace the prescription lenses in your frame at
no charge for the lens cost, subject to the conditions below.
This guarantee applies to:
- Prescription eyeglass lenses (single-vision, bifocal, progressive/multifocal) dispensed
by Konstantin Vision. - Prescriptions written by our in-house optometrists and prescriptions written by
outside optometrists or ophthalmologists.
2.2 Conditions & Eligibility
- The prescription change must be verified by a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist and
documented with a new, valid prescription. - The new prescription must differ meaningfully from the one used to make the original
lenses (minor measurement differences within normal tolerance do not qualify). - The original lenses must have been purchased from Konstantin Vision and dispensed at our
546 6th Avenue location. - The guarantee period begins on the date the finished eyewear is picked up (or delivered)
by the customer, not the date of the eye exam. - This guarantee covers lens replacement only. Frame replacement is not included and is
subject to the individual frame manufacturer’s warranty, if applicable. - Lab fees (edging, specialty coatings, progressive lens upgrades) may apply at cost if the
replacement lenses require premium options not included in the original order. Our team will
communicate any applicable fees before proceeding. - Contact lens prescriptions are not covered under this guarantee. Contact lens fitting
adjustments are handled separately during your contact lens follow-up appointments at no
additional charge within 60 days of fitting.
2.3 How to Use the Prescription Guarantee
- Visit Konstantin Vision at 546 6th Avenue within the six-month guarantee period.
- Bring your original receipt or purchase record and your new, signed prescription.
- Our opticians will verify eligibility and process the replacement lenses. Most single-vision
replacements are completed the same day through our in-house lab.
2.4 Limitations
- The prescription guarantee may be used once per pair of lenses per six-month period.
- The guarantee does not cover changes resulting from a different type of lens (e.g., a
customer switching from single-vision to progressives). Customers wishing to upgrade lens type
will receive a credit toward the new lens cost at our discretion. - The guarantee is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
Summary: If your prescription changes within six months of receiving your
glasses — whether the prescription came from our doctors or yours — we will replace the lenses
free of charge.
4. Free Lifetime Adjustments
As advertised on our website, all frames purchased from Konstantin Vision are eligible for
free frame adjustments for the lifetime of the frame. This includes nose pad
replacement, temple tightening, and general fitting adjustments performed in-store. Adjustments
requiring lab work or replacement parts (other than standard nose pads) may incur a nominal
parts cost.

6.1 Proof of Purchase
