Quickest turn around time for glasses in NYC
Discover the creative universe of Sabine Be, where eyewear goes far beyond simple functionality and becomes a powerful form of personal expression. Handmade in France, every frame reflects the brand’s bold creativity, distinctive style, and dedication to quality. Designed with exceptional attention to detail, Sabine Be eyewear often utilizes premium cellulose acetate, resulting in frames that combine durability with striking visual character.
Sabine spent more than 30 years as an optician in Orléans, France, working in the family business she inherited from her parents. The dream of creating her own eyewear line never left her — but life, as it does, kept getting in the way. Then in 2009, her mother passed away. Faced with her own mortality and the weight of unlived dreams, Sabine made a decision: it was time.
In 2012, she went to the Salon de l’Optique in Paris looking for a manufacturer. Every contact she approached laughed at her. Then, the day after the show, four young people who had just bought a factory in Oyonnax called her store. She paid upfront. The factory closed before the frames were finished. She lost everything.
She kept going anyway.
On March 4, 2014 — after false starts, lost investments, and a determination that refused to quit — Sabine Be was officially born. Today the brand is carried in over 900 stores worldwide. The painting of circles and squares from 1979 is still at the heart of everything.
As an authorized Sabine Be dealer, at Konstantin Vision, we carry Sabine Be eyewear at our NYC showroom — and they are the frames that make people stop and ask where they came from.
Sabine Be brings something to eyewear that is genuinely rare: joy. These are frames designed to make the wearer feel something — to bring color into a day, to express a personality that other frames would flatten, to celebrate the fact that glasses sit at the center of your face and can say something extraordinary if you let them.
The collection spans bold acetate opticals, expressive sunglasses, the crystal-accented Be Confetti line, the double-rim Be Addict, the geometric Be Cubic, and the Mini Be collection for children — all made in France, all carrying the signature round red-coral tip on the right temple and the square tip on the left.
Our licensed opticians will guide you through the full Sabine Be collection — helping you find the color, the shape, and the character that is entirely yours, backed by over 25 years of optical expertise in New York City.
Sabine doesn’t start with a frame design. She starts with a concept.
Her creative process begins with the temples — not the front. That is where the brand identity was born: one temple ending in a round red-coral tip, the other in a square. The round and the square that appeared in her teenage painting, now physically present on every pair of glasses that leaves her collection. The Sabine Be logo itself — the dot followed by the square — echoes the same forms, an ellipsis suggesting the missing letters of her maiden name Bégault.
Her inspirations span travel, nature, architecture, design objects, hairstyles — anything that catches her eye and refuses to let go. The bold Miami color palette that defines much of the collection came from a trip to Florida; the geometric structure came from a painting made four decades earlier in a classroom in France. Every collection is, as she describes it, colourful and joyful with simple, clean lines — structured and logical underneath the exuberance.
Each model is available in a minimum of eight colorways — up to twenty for some styles — developed in consideration of skin tone, eye color, and hair color so that every client can find their color. Sabine’s background as an optician for over 30 years is present in every technical detail: particular attention is paid to nose comfort, to the weight distribution of the frame, and to the long-term wearability of every design.
Sabine Be frames are made in France — and that is not incidental. It is the founding commitment of the brand.
From the first collection, Sabine wanted French manufacture. She went to trade shows, faced rejection, lost a factory, and rebuilt from scratch — because she refused to compromise on that point. Today, every Sabine Be frame is handcrafted in France, carrying the full weight of artisanal French craftsmanship behind every bold colorway and geometric detail.
The artistic character of the collection is immediately visible and deeply deliberate. The Be Love collection, launched at Silmo Paris to mark the brand’s 10th anniversary, embodies the same joy that has defined Sabine Be since its first frames. The Be Confetti line — conceived as a frame “cut” into three pieces with crystal accents — grew from an instinctive idea about color collage and acetate layering. The Be Addict double-inner-rim design, now a signature of the collection, arrived from the same restless creative process that refuses to repeat itself.
These are not seasonal frames. They are works of art produced in limited quantities, by a designer who spent 30 years waiting to make them — and who has been making them with absolute conviction ever since.
